All texts have been written by Richard Leach, a leading contemporary writer of words for hymns and anthems. Richard was a United Church of Christ pastor in Connecticut from 1978 to 1999. His work is in many independent hymnals and hymnal supplements, and in publications from denominations including the Church of Scotland, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, and the United Methodist Church. All music has been written by Amanda Husberg, who recently completed 38 years of service as a director in the publicly funded day care system in New York City. For the last forty-two years she has served as Director of Music for St. John the Evangelist Lutheran Church in Brooklyn, New York. She has over 100 hymn tunes published in various hymnals and supplements throughout the United States, Canada, Brazil, and China.
