弗兰克?斯奈普（Frank Snepp）
1943年生于美国北卡罗来纳州，在哥伦比亚大学读研究生期间被CIA招募，曾前后八年在CIA工作，其中五年在西贡任审讯员、高级战略情报官等职。鉴于斯奈普在工作中的出色表现，战后他被CIA授予最高级别的“荣誉与功勋奖章”，但因不满于当局对越南盟友的背弃和冷置，他很快从CIA辞职，开始著书立说；后被延聘于美国顶级的有线电视网，任调查记者和制片人，曾荣获世界著名的皮博迪奖，多次荣获艾美奖。其间他曾多年任教于南加州大学，讲授法律、新闻调查和美国政治等课程。迄今，对斯奈普关于越战和美国国家安全问题的专访已达一百多次，采访者包括世界著名记者迈克?华莱士（美国CBS访谈节目《60分钟》主持人）。
