罗伯特?莱恩（Robert E. Lane），美国政治学家和政治心理学家，英国科学院院士，美国科学促进协会会员。曾任国际政治心理学学会、美国政治学协会和政策研究学会主席。于耶鲁大学执教近50年，就职期间曾两度任政治系主任。罗伯特所著图书已被翻译成7国语言在全世界出售。此外，为表彰其在政治心理学领域做出的卓越贡献，自1994年起，美国政治学协会设立罗伯特?莱恩奖，颁给每年的最佳政治心理学图书作者。莱恩本人的这本《幸福的流失》于2001年获此奖。
