作者简介

约翰.温德姆（1903-1969），出生于英国沃克里郡，中学毕业后便开始独立谋生，1925年成为一名职业作家。20世纪30年代，温德姆在美国的杂志上发表了大量小说；第二次世界大战期间，他曾经在英国政府和军队中效力。

战后，温德姆又重返文坛，创作了《三尖树时代》、《海龙醒来》、《蛹》和《被诅咒之树》等多部科幻小说，是最负盛名的灾难题材科幻小说家之一。
