藝術家、建築師，居住於美國舊金山及日本東京。UCLA建築與都市設計碩士，唯一的建築作品是十七歲時蓋的一間茶屋；七十年代著名前衛圖像雜誌WET: The Magazine of Gourmet Bathing創辦人，隨後出版多本設計及美學相關書籍，如《Wabi-Sabi：給設計師、生活家的日式美學基礎》（Wabi-sabi: for Artists, Designers, Poets and Philosophers，行人文化實驗室出版）、《解構泡澡》（Undesigning the Bath）、《如何耙草》（How to Rake Leaves）、《石與沙的花園》（Gardens of Gravel and Sand）；日本雜誌BRUTUS專欄作家，專欄名稱為〈李歐納博士的文化人類學導引〉。
繪者簡介
娜妲莉?杜巴斯吉耶Nathalie Du Pasquier
出生於法國波爾多（Bordeaux），一九七九年後移居義大利米蘭。一九八七年以前從事設計，並創辦設計團隊Memphis，設計作品包含織品、家具及物件。一九八七年之後，她決定以繪畫，特別是靜物畫為主要工作，亦即在畫布上陳設物件。
