米尔恰?伊利亚德（Mircea Eliade，1907—1986），西方著名宗教史家。二战结束后到1955年，这一期间他的宗教研究达到了一个顶峰，以法文的形式出版了一系列宗教著作：《神圣的存在：比较宗教的范型》、《宇宙和历史》、《永恒回归的神话》、《瑜伽：不死与自由》、 《神圣与世俗》以及《萨满教》。这几本着作几乎涵盖了20世纪所有宗教的重要研究领域，使他迅速崛起成为一名蜚声国际学术界的宗教史家。1957年任芝加哥大学宗教系主任和教授等职。1961年主编出版了《宗教史》创刊，成为美洲大陆宗教研究的一份重要刊物。80年代，伊利亚德的学术声名日盛，担任《宗教百科全书》的主编，1987年16卷本的《宗教百科全书》正式出版。

姚蓓琴，1985年毕业于复旦大学哲学系。现为上海市委党校副教授．以现代宗教文化为研究领域．译有伊利亚德的《宗教思想史》（合译）、帕斯卡的《外省人书信》等。
