Graham Greene, 1904-1991
英国作家、剧作家、文学评论家。从牛津大学贝利奥尔学院毕业后，在《泰晤士报》担任副编辑，因其第四部小说《斯坦布尔列车》而声名鹊起。一九三五年，他穿越利比里亚，回国后写成《没有地图的旅行》。一九三八年探访墨西哥，报道当地宗教迫害，完成《非法之路》及著名小说《权利和荣耀》。一九四一年进入英国外交部并被派驻塞拉利昂，此后他以西非为背景创作了小说《问题的核心》。战后他卸下公职，四处旅行，足迹遍及南美、东欧、亚洲和非洲，同时以自由投稿人的身分继续发表著作。
